Story Transcript:

Sl: Matej je sedel na klopi ob robu šolskega dvorišča in gledal proti vrhovom Julijskih Alp.
En: Matej was sitting on a bench at the edge of the school yard, looking toward the peaks of the Julian Alps.

Sl: Njegove misli so bile polne dvomov, vendar je v prsih čutil tudi drobno iskro navdušenja.
En: His thoughts were full of doubts, but he also felt a small spark of excitement in his chest.

Sl: Bližal se je čas za pohodniško pustolovščino, na katero so se pripravljali ves teden.
En: The time was approaching for the hiking adventure they had been preparing for all week.

Sl: Luka, njegov najboljši prijatelj, se mu je pridružil z energičnim korakom.
En: Luka, his best friend, joined him with an energetic step.

Sl: "Pogled na Alpe je danes čudovit, kajne?
En: "The view of the Alps is wonderful today, isn't it?"

Sl: " je dejal Luka z nasmehom.
En: said Luka with a smile.

Sl: "Komaj čakam, da jih osvojimo.
En: "I can hardly wait for us to conquer them."

Sl: "Matej je prikimal, a tiho dodal: "Skrbi me, Luka.
En: Matej nodded but quietly added, "I'm worried, Luka.

Sl: Kaj če ne bom zmogel?
En: What if I can't make it?"

Sl: "Luka ga je potapljal po rami.
En: Luka patted him on the shoulder.

Sl: "Verjemi vase, Matej.
En: "Believe in yourself, Matej.

Sl: Z Nino bova ob tebi celo pot.
En: Nina and I will be by your side the whole way."

Sl: "Na dvorišče je privihrala še Nina z zemljevidom v rokah.
En: Nina came rushing onto the yard with a map in her hands.

Sl: "Tukaj je naš načrt poti," je povedala z navdušenjem.
En: "Here's our route plan," she announced with excitement.

Sl: "Vedno sem sanjala, da bom preplezala te hribe.
En: "I've always dreamed of climbing these hills."

Sl: "Matej je zbral pogum.
En: Matej gathered his courage.

Sl: "Tudi jaz hočem poskusiti," je rekel, čeprav je bila v njem še vedno prisotna senca negotovosti.
En: "I want to try too," he said, although a shadow of uncertainty still lingered within him.

Sl: Naslednji dan so zgodaj zjutraj krenili na pot.
En: The next day, they set off early in the morning.

Sl: Sonce je prijetno ogrevalo zeleno pokrajino okoli njih.
En: The sun pleasantly warmed the green landscape around them.

Sl: Pohodni čevlji so enakomerno udarjali ob zemljo.
En: Their hiking boots hit the ground evenly.

Sl: Matej se je trudil držati korak z Lukom in Nino, ki sta bila polna energije.
En: Matej tried to keep pace with Luka and Nina, who were full of energy.

Sl: Ko so se vzpenjali po strmi poti, je Mateja začela mučiti utrujenost.
En: As they climbed the steep path, Matej began to feel the strain of fatigue.

Sl: Nad njimi so se sivi oblaki zbrali in veter je začel žvižgati med drevesi.
En: Above them, gray clouds gathered, and the wind started to whistle through the trees.

Sl: Stopal je vse počasneje in zadihan obstal.
En: He walked more slowly and stopped, out of breath.

Sl: Besede dvoma so se mu vrnile, toda Luka ga je opomnil: "Matej, je v redu.
En: Words of doubt returned to him, but Luka reminded him, "Matej, it's okay.

Sl: Vse bomo dosegli skupaj.
En: We will achieve everything together."

Sl: "Nina mu je ponudila roko: "Samo še malo, pa bomo na vrhu.
En: Nina offered her hand: "Just a little more, and we'll be at the top."

Sl: "Matej je globoko vdihnil.
En: Matej took a deep breath.

Sl: Zbral je moč in nadaljeval.
En: He gathered strength and continued.

Sl: Korak za korakom je premagoval strahove.
En: Step by step, he overcame his fears.

Sl: In kmalu so se pred njimi odprli veličastni razgledi z vrha hriba.
En: And soon, magnificent views from the hilltop opened up before them.

Sl: Julijske Alpe so se bleščale v daljavi, obdajale so jih meglice in sončni žarki.
En: The Julian Alps glistened in the distance, surrounded by mist and sunlight.

Sl: Matej je globoko vdihnil svež gorski zrak in se nasmehnil.
En: Matej took a deep breath of the fresh mountain air and smiled.

Sl: Občutil je navdušenje in ponos, ker je premagal svoje strahove.
En: He felt excitement and pride for having overcome his fears.

Sl: Luka ga je objel: "Poglej, uspelo ti je!
En: Luka hugged him: "Look, you made it!"

Sl: "Nina se je zasmejala: "Vsak korak je bil vreden!
En: Nina laughed: "Every step was worth it!

Sl: Ponovimo to drugo poletje.
En: Let's do it again next summer."

Sl: "Matej se je veselil.
En: Matej was joyful.

Sl: Spoznal je, da je moč v prijateljstvu in da lahko doseže vse, če le vztraja in zaupa vase ter v svoje prijatelje.
En: He realized that strength lies in friendship and that he can achieve anything if he perseveres and trusts himself and his friends.

Sl: Ni se več bal neznanega.
En: He was no longer afraid of the unknown.

Sl: Pred njim je stal nov svet, poln možnosti in pustolovščin.
En: A new world full of possibilities and adventures stood before him.
