This week we are graced with the presence of my friend Van, who now owns the title of second guest of the pod! 

In our typical fashion, Van and I made a last minute decision and met in the mountains of North Carolina last weekend. We spent time hiking and catching up, and this episode catches the tail-end of our conversations from the weekend. 

Van shares the challenges of being a first-generation college student and a female engineer, and amazes me with her ability to persevere, never letting anything stop her from achieving her goals. I am lucky to call Van my friend, and I know that everyone who hears her story will be inundated with inspiration.
