Hi, my name is David Wetton and welcome to the Conscious Leadership Now Video Podcast

The intent of this Podcast is to encourage you as a leader to embrace Conscious Leadership, by giving you access to some of the world’s leaders in the field of Conscious Leadership, both in practice and in thought.

My guest today is Vinay Parmar Managing Director for National Express Accessible Transport division. National Express is a multinational public transport company, one of the top 250 companies in the UK.

In this time of coronavirus, Vinay and his team collaborated with an initiative across the West Midlands in England, in partnership with Transport For West Midlands, by repurposing their Ring and Ride fleet to provide free shuttle transport to NHS and Social Care staff to and from work.

For Vinay, leadership, transformation and change are at the heart of who he is and form the core of his skill set which has enabled him to deliver excellent results throughout his career.

A career which over the last 25 years has seen him working for and consulting with FTSE 250 companies in the Financial Services, Telecoms, Automotive, Retail and Travel industries; inspiring fresh thinking and leading transformation primarily in Customer Experience.

Vinay strongly believes that relationships and team working are the key to success.

His conscious leadership journey has not been a smooth one, he's had to overcome setbacks, challenges and obstacles in his life, which no doubt have fuelled his Conscious Leadership.

Vinay has written the book ‘A Passage to India: An inspirational true story of dealing with change, challenge and adversity.’ which describes some of the most harrowing moments of his life. Including the death of his mother on his wedding day.
