Freedom, generally, is having the ability to act or change without constraint. A person has the freedom to do things that will not, in theory or in practice, be prevented by other forces.
Freedom always cost you something, and for Robyne Henry, it was her voice. To retaliate, she sung for every caged bird to hear the sweet song of freedom until their rusted bars collapsed. The quickest way to silence a singing bird is to cage it—take away its freedom and control it. On this episode Robyne Henry and I talk on what freedom really is. We also relate this to her first book : The Caged Bird Finally Sings.
