Whether you are a regular practitioner or a beginner, the intention of this guided meditation is that you stoke the fire of your passion for the practice. If you've been meditating much in life, a lot of this may seem very basic; however, it is always important to remember the beauty of its simplicity. So, please consider this a refresher.
If you are a novice, it will all seem new to you. Please enter it with the understanding that this is not a normal guided meditation - because there is no such thing. A guided meditation can take on as many forms as the variety of a butterfly's wings. Today, you will be guided and informed simultaneously. I hope to dispel some of the prevalent myths and misconceptions about meditation. And while there are many schools of thought on the topic, in all of my studies on both meditation and Buddhism, I have found the basic premises to be the most beneficial.

In my latest episode, my special guest is Lamara Heartwell. Lamara inspires women to claim their bodies as an essential source of intelligence, power, and pleasure. She speaks live and through various forms of media, and you won't want to miss her Body Intelligence Summit coming up on February 17th thru 2oth. It's ONLINE, it's FABULOUS and it's FREE!
When facilitating groups, she uses a variety of movement modalities for women to develop body intelligence and expand their capacity for pleasure on a daily basis. As a performer, Lamara's transgressive movement art invites audiences to transcend their everyday way of seeing and look at life through a different lens.
Lamara has spent her life exploring what it takes to live in freedom in the body. She began studying and performing traditional dance styles at the age of 3 and was a devoted gymnast for much of her childhood. As an adult she became more interested in the mind-body connection and focused her studies on dance therapy and the transformative power of movement. She holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a coaching certification through the Hendricks Institute, two years of counseling training at the Interchange Institute, and extensive yoga training since age 16.
Lamara founded Santa Barbara Dance Tribe in 2009, a thriving twice-weekly dance event with a strong community presence since its inception. She has curated dozens of performance art events in California over the past 12 years.
As the great-grand daughter of one of the founders of Exxon, her passion and advocacy for environmental sustainability has been influenced by her family lineage in the oil industry. Lamara is as invested in the health of the planet as she is in the health of our bodies, and sees a direct relationship between the two.
Lamara lives in the foothills of Santa Barbara, CA on a majestic sanctuary overlooking the ocean. She is dedicated to community, sustainable living, and delights in harvesting and eating raw food from her garden. She actively organizes community events, creates street theatre, and plays on the magical and wild shores of the pacific. You can learn more about Lamara at www.LamaraHeartwell.com.

It's my pleasure today to introduce you to Rochelle Jaffe, M.S., CHt. Rochelle is the Director of the ASHLAND SCHOOL OF HYPNOTHERAPY. She is certified by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners, National Board of Clinical Hypnotherapists, International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association, and is on the adjunct faculty of Southern Oregon University.
Rochelle specializes in a type of hypnotherapy that, rather than putting clients to sleep, helps them recognize and utilize their deep intelligence, opening the pathways to their creative unconscious; becoming more fully awake to who they are beyond the childhood trances of conditioned self-identity.
The founder and director of the Ashland School of Hypnotherapy, Rochelle has introduced hundreds of students and professionals to her unique blend of the art and science of healing. She provides a strong base of knowledge and careful attention to each student that is the trademark of the school.
Using this powerful approach, people significantly increase their ability to access regions beyond the conscious mind, beyond limitation and enabling them to have a greater effect on their own healing, personal freedom and fulfillment, and self-empowerment.
You can find Rochelle at www.AshlandSchoolOfHypnotherapy.com.

My guest today, is David Gaggin, author of The Endless Journey: A Unique Perspective on Mankind's Origin, Purpose and Ultimate Destiny. David spent seventeen years as a design engineer and technical manager at Boeing, where he was responsible for designing automatic flight control and avionics systems.
After that, he spent nine years in the U.S. Government's Senior Executive Service (SES) with the US Army directing avionics and command and control R&D. He then created and was the CEO of Cobham Defense Electronics Systems (CDES) Corp, a subsidiary of Cobham, plc, for 15 years. When he retired, CDES had become the world's leading military microwave subsystem company.
During his career, he went on an exhaustive search for the most plausible answers that he could find to the classic questions concerning our existence: Who are we? Is there a God? Why is the cosmos here? How shall we live our life? What is important?
He believes the answers, which he describes in the form of a worldview, are right in front of us; but we fail to see them because we are so consumed with our materialistic lifestyle. This worldview describes a divine plan in which we are an intricate and important part. The answers to life's most basic questions are detailed in his book, available on Amazon.com.

In this episode, I share a rich discussion with my dear friend, Audrey Hazekamp. Audrey is a game-changing integrative coach and facilitator for evolutionary fitness and integrity. She is the creator and founder of Tall Poppy Inc. where she supports clients in resolving their limiting patterns so they find easeful clarification, creation and enjoyment of lives that they truly want to be living.
Audrey is on purpose in igniting a movement for evolutionary fitness, thriving and all-systems integrity…personally and professionally. She facilitates openings and action into perspectives beyond familiar limitations, and welcomes new possibilities with spacious intensity, and action-oriented curiosity.
Always asking big questions, her success comes through seeing and reflecting the wholeness you already embody. She loves to blend the familiar and the unknown into new masterpieces of wholeness, and will often stay up 'till the wee hours for an amazing conversation. She's more interested in grand questions than logical answers, context than content, ultimate possibilities than assumed limitations.
She takes a stand for a revolution of thriving wholeness. If you want to take a stand with her, learn more www.TallPoppyInc.com.
