Anyone can look around at this world we live in and see that there is suffering and evil and one may ask themselves, "Why?" Why is there evil? Why is there suffering? And, if there is a God, why does He allow it? These are questions people have asked for centuries. In this episode, Daniel and Tyler discuss this topic and see what answers we can find within God's word.

Daniel continues our study of the book of Colossians by looking at chapter 2, verses 11 through 13. However, we first need an introduction to this problem that is in Colossae which is known as the Colossians Heresy. Before Daniel takes us through these verses, he begins this episode by breaking down and explaining gnosticism, mysticism, Jewish legalism, and asceticism. All of these are going to be the focus of Paul's letter because Paul is going to refute all of these false doctrines in this letter and show why Christ is the answer and the only thing that they need.

Daniel continues our study of the book of Colossians by discussing 2:8-10. In this passage, Paul warns the brethren of deceivers who would try and lure them away through empty philosophy and worldly tradition. He further states that they have no need of these worldly things, but all they need is Christ in Whom "dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily" and in Whom they are all made complete (Col. 2:9-10). 

This is a topic that has been debated for centuries among many preachers, theologians, and scholars of the Bible. There are thousands of denominations in the world with many different interpretations on baptism and its role in the life of a Christian. What matters the most is what God says about this topic in His Book, the Bible. What does God say about baptism?

Daniel continues our study of the book of Colossians as we look at chapter 2, verses 1 through 7. 

The home is an essential part of our society. It is a very personal place filled with with the things we love and enjoy and many may share it with people who they love and care for. Let us open God's word and see what God has to say about the home and how He desires for the home to be structured.

Why is preaching the gospel so important? Throughout the pages of the Bible we read of dozens of mighty speakers of God's word. Moses, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Peter, Paul, and Jesus Christ all spent their lives preaching God's word to everyone. Some even sacrificed their lives for the sake of preaching (Stephen - Acts 7:54-60). Is preaching still necessary to do today and, if so, who is given the commission to preach? Is it to those who are the designated "pulpit ministers," or rather is it all of God's people?

In this episode, Daniel continues our study of the book of Colossians. In this section of Colossians, Paul expresses his joy while he suffers, the mystery that has been revealed to him, and his stewardship for God. 

On January 20, 2021, the 46th president of the United States was inaugurated into office. Regardless of how one feels about this, everyone can agree that we live in a time of political division. Throughout the year of 2020, we have seen America go through a disturbing period of unrest and division, and it will either gradually get better or worse in the times to come. It is during times like these that the Christian may be left wondering, "What is my place in all of this?" How is the Christian supposed to feel when they don't agree with their government, and how are they supposed to respond to their government when it is going in a direction they don't approve of. It is during times like these when we must look to the unchanging Book of the unchanging God and see what He has to say about the Christian's relationship with their government.

One of the greatest things to know as a Christian is that we have been reconciled with God through Jesus Christ. This section of Colossians 1 describes this amazing fact. In this section of the letter, Paul describes how Christ has the fullness of deity and that through His death in the flesh we have an opportunity to be presented holy and blameless in His sight. What should we then do for Him? We need to continue in the faith and make Christ number one in our lives.
