The Metropolitan Police by officer numbers, is the largest in the United Kingdom by a significant margin, and one of the biggest in the world. They consist of the 32 London boroughs, protects 164 foreign embassies and High Commissions, polices London City and Heathrow airports as well as Westminster. However, the Met has been plagued with accusations of institutional racism, misogyny and corruption. The Met saw even more criticism when Cressida Dick the former Commissioner was forced to resign due to lack of confidence from the London Mayor and citizens, but some people would argue this came much later than it ever should have and with the countless other scandals emerging from the force, is it time for major reform? Is enough being done? Not from where we're looking.
