After a long time away Mark Schauss returns to the show to discuss his new upcoming book "Understanding Putin: A History of Russia Through it's Rulers" Mark traces the course of Russian History from the time of Rurik all the way down to the Russian Revolution of 1917. We talk to Mark about some of the historical reasons why Russia feels threatened by the West. We also delve into how what is happening into now in Ukraine relates to the course of Russian History.
