Who would have thought that the biggest devotee of the Four-Armed Emperor in Poland would actually be a Brit? But he is our Brit! And you can't have him! Well... actually you can for the next hour and fourty minutes... In this episode Joker and tweak^ interview Danny Porter, a player who has taken the Warsaw tournament scene by storm, who despite having an outdated codex managed to regularly place in the top 10 of the biggest events. And if you've listened to this podcast for a while now you'd know that even though the Polish events gather waaaay fewer than 100 players at a time they are still absolute sharktanks with former and present National Team members, aspirants to the NT and other regulars duking it out proper WTC style, so regular top 10s are an achievement in itself. Danny talks about his power-testing of the new codex in some experimental games and about how quickly a GSC devotee picks up the new rules, stratagems and other bits and bobs the new book has to offer. We go through each section of it and highlight the most outstanding and prominent goodies while tweak is doing his best to find some flaws in it. So sit down and whip out your painting gear or make some popcorn cause this is one solid army review!

Welcome to the first episode of Season 3 of Contact Lost Podcast! As the Polish players are warming up for the first big event of the year to take place in Warsaw and most of the eyes abroad are slowly turning towards Las Vegas in anticipation of the LVO and anything else pales in comparison we decided to do an episode in the spirit of "New year new army" with a twist. In this episode we have Duda and Pumba talking about mechanics in the game that are competitively viable and where they think GW is taking us with each new release. We talk about the armies' toolkits, concepts of micro and macro as well as the overall "mechanics health" in the game. The last episode of the season turns out to be a monster one as our esteemed guests - Typhus & Pumba - talk to us about a bunch of topics: first, we summarize GWs newly announced approach to semi-annual Chapter Approved and seasonality. Secondly (and most importantly) they rank all the armies in the competitive Warhammer 40k universe and look at their viability in a team composition, as they stand at the end of 2021. As the Polish National Team is prepping to compete for 1st place at the WTC our guests' opinion are not shaped by armies top finishes or number of wins, but rather how the armies did in international team sparrings that the guys have played. In the newest episode we are visited by Pumba and Typhus (NT selector) who traveled to Leicester to referee at last weekend's GT. In the first half of the episode the lads comment on the US Open event and dive deep into the previewed changes to primary and secondary missions and their implications for some armies. In the second part we talk about Leicester GT and challenges of reffing an event like that. Last but not least, as our guests are not only refs and selectors but also active players, we compare the UK and the Polish meta, discuss the differences and the reasons behind them as well as the strongest armies in the current meta globally.
