Contemplative Worship

A reflection on the Paschal Mystery by Fr Clement Paul with music by Color. Fr Paul is the parish Priest of Our Lady of the Rosary RC Church, St John located in Barbados.

We invite you to use these 15 minutes to reflect on the words... He suffered, died, was buried and rose again from the dead and to contemplate how they may relate to your personal suffering.

All of the music in this podcast was performed by Color. The song Above All is taken from the album Breathe and can be purchased on iTunes. https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/breathe/1189705589?i=1189705788

This song is an adaptation of Psalm 15 (16) Preserve me God.

Preserve me God take refuge in You

I say to the Lord: You are my God

My happiness lies in You alone

He has put in to my heart a marvellous love

for the faithful ones who dwell in His land

Those who choose other gods increase their sorrows

O Lord, it is You who are my portion and cup

it is You Yourself who are my prize

The lot marked out for me is my delight

welcome indeed the heritage that falls to me

New song inspired by the Lenten journey.

Return

Lord hear my prayer

I come to You humbly

Lord take my sins

And show me mercy

I need your help

As I start this journey

For forty days temptation will be my guide

And Christ in me arise

As I stumble and I fall

And Christ in me Arise

As I try hard to return

To You..my Lord, my Saviour

To You, my Lord, Provider

I want to return, with my whole heart

Help me to forgive

I want to serve all those in need

Help me find my gift

And Christ in me arise

As I stumble and I fall

And Christ in me Arise

As I try hard to return

To You..my Lord, my Saviour

To You, my Lord, Provider

To You, my Lord, I want to return to You

Composed by Audra Stevenson Drakes, performed by Color.

Mary's Boy Child- live recording

Remembering our dear friend Denis and the wonderful Christmas memories that he created year after year with this song.

Merry Christmas!

Happy Advent everyone! As we enter the season that takes us to Christmas we are reminded of Mary's faith as she willingly said Yes! to the Lord.

Today we would like to share another song from our archives... The Magnificat which was sung at Color's In Christ Alone concert in 2012. We hope that you will enjoy this live recording.

Live recording of His Strength is Perfect by Color from their "In Christ Alone" concert in 2012. This concert was the start of new challenge for Color, (known then as the Choir of Our Lady of the Rosary) stepping out of the traditional role as the choir for Sunday mass and into new roles as music ministers. Color was supported by Lowrey Worrell on piano, Neil Newton on bass and David Carnegie who directed the music and the event, coached the choir and played drums.

We hope that you will enjoy this song as we celebrate life and lean into God for strength in good times and bad.

His Strength is Perfect was written by Stephen Curtis Chapman. This style of this cover version was inspired by CeCe Winans who released a recording of the song in 1995.

Praying the Rosary

The Sign of the Cross:

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,

Creator of Heaven and earth;

and in Jesus Christ, His only Son Our Lord,

Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary.

Suffered under Pontius Pilate,

Was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended into Hell;

On the third day He rose again from the dead;

He ascended into Heaven,

and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father almighty;

from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy Catholic Church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.

Amen.

Pray the following: 1 Our Father, 3 Hail Marys (Faith, Hope and Charity), 1 Glory Be

Our Father

Our Father, Who art in heaven,

Hallowed be Thy Name.

Thy Kingdom come.

Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace,

the Lord is with thee;

Blessed art thou among women,

and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,

pray for us sinners, now

and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father,

and to the Son,

and to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning,

is now, and ever shall be,

world without end.

Amen.

While meditating on the mysteries say

1 Our Father, 10 Hail Marys , 1 Glory Be, 1 Fatima Prayer

Fatima Prayer

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins,

save us from the fires of hell,

lead all souls to heaven,

especially those who are in most need of Thy mercy.

Concluding Prayers

After the completion of five mysteries (5 decades), the Hail Holy Queen (or Salve Regina may be sung)
