Poetry On Life

Contentment, is it Mirage

Listen Later

If you’ve lived life to the hilt

No matter in skirt or in kilt,

There’s nothing more you could’ve done

So, why live midst doubt and guilt.

The waters that flow down the river

And, the faces that look at the mirror,

Neither of them, really, understand

What gives them worth, and who is the Giver.

Choices we have, “yes”, but we can’t always choose

Destiny’s right, is there to refuse

So, let’s be thankful for what comes our way

Why darken it all, why blow the fuse.

We look up in awe at the skies

Beyond the stars at Paradise,

Fables and stories are all very nice

But, the Lord stands with us when the heart cries.

Eternity is mirage, no more no less

 We will never find

it, whatever be our finesse,

Let go and feel the Peace within

“Successful” lives are not success!

There’s more to it and it’s not content

There’s another word called contentment,

The door to it within reach, always

The key to it is honest intent.
