Let’s change the conversation on men’s mental health.
We know the power of social connection – but too many of us feel like there's no one to turn to. Let's change that.
Contiki and Movemeber collaborated to connect 5 individuals including myself to have a chat about all things around mental health and addressing it from all different angles. This chat was so profound for me and I have been on Contiki and Movemebers back for the past 2 months to share the raw audio clip from the day.
Because I truly believe that this chat can help so manny people. This chat is raw, vulnerable and by the end of it we formed a bond and friendship that we all stay in contact today.
(interviewer) Brendan Maher- Is the Movember Global Director, Mental Health & Suicide Prevention, and former CEO of R U OK. He’s committed to making a real change to men across the globe and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him.
Lincoln Lewis- Lincoln is an actor and former Home and Away star. He has previously spoken out about his own mental health struggles.
Khan Porter - is a five-times CrossFit Games athlete, multiple business owner, psychology student and passionate advocate for improving mental health awareness and support services, especially for young men.
Shaun hampson- is an ex-AFL footballer and Survivor contestant, father of two and owner of cafe/restaurant Ascot Food Store. He's also an official ambassador for Movember and is passionate about men’s health because of his own experiences with loss.
Ziggy Ramo- is a proud Aboriginal/Islander musician and creative who advocates for furthering conversations around social justice and mental health.
And myself on a mission is to show youth that anything is possible and to raise awareness of the importance of mental health through marathon running, podcasting and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
If you did enjoy this chat, please share on your story. More youth need to hear these conversations.
