Danger abounds on the high seas as the crew of The Siren's Call sets out on their 6-week voyage to infiltrate the Sahuagin Lair. Joining them is a new friend, beefy blacksmith Jasker Moradin, who has been charged with crafting weapons for their mission along the way. First stop is Monmurg, where Jasker is to pick up some crafting materials, and just 2 days in the party finds themselves in a life-changing situation during a perilous thunderstorm.
The party attends to sailors infected with rot grubs, with aid from Welgar and his acolytes. Later, they meet with Grell and the Council, and agree to investigate the lizardfolk “castle.” The next day; Malcolm studies at the temple; Vel gets a smuggling job from Gellan; Kayle helps Hanna with a squatter, and purchases an old warlock's tome with Billy in it; and Dora gets a spell book.
The party discovers a massacre aboard the Furious Sabre; there is a funeral for the crew. Skerrin's will is read, and a Council meeting is held with new allies. Half the party commits to investigating the sahuagin lair, and the party celebrates their last day before the war begins.
The party recovers from the attack, and have several personal conversations. The Council makes them honourary citizens and enlists them to find 2 missing ships. Councillor Skerrin is poisoned and dies, but the party uncovers his membership in the Scarlet Brotherhood. Caravans with rations and soldiers arrive from Burle.
The party returns to the mainland mostly intact, only to find Saltmarsh under a Sahuagin raid.
The party bites off a little more than they can chew after discovering a secret passage behind a tapestry in the Temple of Heironeous. Can our brave heroes escape this ancient dungeon alive?
The party fights skeletons on the way to the Abbey. Kayle solves a puzzle to open a trap door, and Emmet discovers a secret door behind a tapestry.
Malcolm and Vel argue about money. Half the party attends a Council Meeting, while the other half investigates Skerrin’s home for signs of Iuz. The next day Vel and her mother go shopping, while the party attends market day.
Fraternus tells Dora that he’s leaving Saltmarsh. Kayle and Malcolm meet with the grave keeper, and Vel catches up with her mother. Dora mails her letter, Vel fixes the ship, and Malcolm has a vision of an Abbey.
