Amber Miles got her MAT and completed her student teaching in Massachusetts before returning to her home state, Arizona. She taught 4th/5th grade in Sedona, AZ, and witnessed stark differences between urban/suburban MA and rural AZ. This became the basis of ContrastEd and inspired her to expand her understanding of the U.S. education system.
