John Dewey’s Dumb Down of the American Mind
Controlling the Narrative: Let’s Raise Hell
Frank Goss | June 8, 2022
No, I and advocating a party-hearty mentality or chaos. I am genuinely a reserved conservative. I do not wear a bowtie or Cole Hann loafers. Some say I am a ‘rough around the edges’ redneck. That may be true. I do not follow convention, have little confidence in the media or the government, and know that, given the opportunity, ‘there go I’ is an accurate axiomatic phrase.
I try not to judge others by their looks, but some of these green and purple hair and neck tattooed people offer a challenge. Perhaps they are good people with poor discernment? I do not let my grandkids play with their kids, though. That is not condescending judgment; we call it discernment.
In the early sixties, my father took me shopping with him downtown. As we walked through the store, some wildly dressed people walked in, and I was amazed. It was mid-summer, and I thought I had missed Halloween. I looked at my father with questioning eyes. He said, “You know what you are seeing?” I shook my head, saying no. “Those are hippies.” I laugh now, but at that time, it was as if a door opened, and I did not truly understand what was behind it. As the turbulent sixties unfolded, I had a preface in my mind. “Those were hippies.”
I read quite a bit and keep up with current events, and yes, I am troubled with and by what I am experiencing. It is disturbing to see how low we have sunk as a nation in the name of freedom, justice, and liberty. The national moral and spiritual decline is what I am referring to when I entitled this essay, “Let’s raise hell.”
The ideas of the mid-20th century were spawned in the minds of wicked and perverted people and embraced by men in places of power. The 60s revolutionary ideas are what is animating our government at this time. What we are experiencing today is the fruit of the seeds planted at that time. As I read about politics, education, government, and various ideologies, I am forced back into the 60s.
If you have followed my podcast, you will be able to see where I have gone as I have attempted to gain a better understanding of American education. Alex Newman has been a tremendous source, as has Curtis Bowers, Trevor Loudon, and various others. There is no lack of information. If you want to know the truth, it is available. You will have to dig a bit, mainly because the evil and wicked men and women have been sheltered by historical revisionists and by those of similar minds.
By raising Hell, I am referring to the absolute rejection of God, including our national foundational ideas and any genuine concept of right and wrong.
We will continue to consider the corrupt nature of education in the days to come. I believe we need to be aware of how wolves act as they stalk the little sheep. Our children need protection more now than ever before in American history. Martin Luther, the great reformer, wrote a line that states,
this world with devils filled – he hit that nail right on the head.
If we take a simple Socratic approach to discovery, we will aggravate some. Still, we will find answers men have hidden or attempted to hide in order to control the narrative. They use lies, misinformation, diversions, and any means necessary to direct the conversation. They realize whoever controls the narrative, controls the nation.
The Socratic method is to ask questions. I ask who, what, why, and how.
We have to define what subject we are seeking to consider before we start. I have been asking questions, seeking to understand how we have come to where we are in our national thinking. Wha
