Acts On Stage is a theater focused on centering the voices, talents, and initiatives of People of Color and Creatives of Faith. Michelle brings years of experience in community development and pastoral ministry to her current work, most recently serving as Campus Pastor at Warner Pacific University. Michelle is a singer, songwriter, and worship leader, as well as the front person for her own gospel band, Michelle Lang & Still Water. She blended her passions as a producer, playwright, and activist to create the interactive workshop experience called “The Art of Tough Talks.”

When the failure of oppressing Black people is failing, as we rise - the aim of attacking access to education for our kids is the foundation for Black families to have access to wealth generation and all aspects of society. This is a crisis and has been for quite some time.

HeartBeat this week focuses on what the "Moms of Liberty" are doing here in Washington State. Well-funded and highly organized, thousands of them are reaching out to our Legislators in an attempt to roll back access to Education for Brown and Black children.

Welcome Luckisha Phillips-Miller, a Parent, Professor of Early Learning an K-12 advocate, to discuss this issue.
