In this week’s episode of the Hewlett Packard Labs Podcast “From Research to Reality”, Dejan Milojicic hosts Paolo Faraboschi, VP and HPE Fellow at Hewlett Packard Labs, and director of the AI Research Lab. Paolo explains how HPC and AI are converging, using as an example the explosion of the use of accelerators, programming models, and AI platforms. Paolo also discusses the need for “trustworthy AI”, one of the predictions he made as an emerging technology for 2021. Originally from Italy, and having lived across Europe and United States, Paolo compares the different approaches to work/life balance, and the importance of inclusion and diversity. Avid swimmer and water polo player, he also tells us about the importance of sports for a healthy lifestyle.
