Elvia Wilk, author of the novel Oval and the essay collection Death by Landscape joins us in this interview to discuss her latest book with Kenny Novis. This book, Death by Landscape, answers questions as diverse as ‘how should we orient our lives in a time of climate catastrophe?’, ‘what can steampunk tell us about utopia?’ and ‘what can LARPing teach lovers about consent?’, to name but a few. In this interview, Elvia and Kenny discuss the book’s key themes, especially Elvia’s focus on mysticism, utopianism and environmentalism.
