Full disclosure and transparency...This is a bit of a lost episode. We recorded it a little while ago BUT because of the way we do our show, the content is still relevant. A few weeks ago, J. Cole sent out a "Golden Ticket" to what seemed like the entire music industry. Those who got a ticket were invited to TreeSound Studio in Atlanta to take part in the recording sessions for Revenge of The Dreamers 3. With a reported 90+ artists, producers, engineers and media flowing through the studio, over 10 days, expectations are through the roof. Oh to have been a fly of the wall!?!? This is the greatest gathering of talent for recording purposed since My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy; at least to my feeble memory lol. And it's definitely the largest "industry event" so far in 2019. Which makes this more than worthy of a #CFAF conversation. What's good Few Tang Clan? There's been a couple weeks between the Revenge of the Dreamers 3 sessions and the release of this episode. Artists and producers alike shared stories about their experiences at the massive, 10 day Cook Up at TreeSound Studio in Atlanta. That's chat worthy and adds context to our prior convo. I [Jana] also had an interesting and intense exchange with a Cole fan (who'da thunk it right? lol), which altered my extremely skewed view of Cole's relationship with NC. At its core, this conversation is about the authenticity of Hip Hop; or lack thereof. We're decades into the genre we all love and I'd bet good money none of you could name 5 known gay rappers. That's a problem. Why is that so? Are we "unevolved" as a culture?  This may not be the most politically correct episode.
