I sit down to chat with Gavin who is a tremendous athlete and student. He is very smart and really can do whatever you chooses in life. I will certainly miss his leadership next year.

I sit down with Jayden in my class, who is a great athlete. He lives his life with such a joy and always has a smile on his face. What an honor to have him in class. Also, he is not shy to let me know that my style of teaching wasn't necessarily his style or worked well for him.  Nonetheless, he is for sure someone I will always remember. 

In this episode, I sit down and talk with Lauren and Delaney, who in less than 25 days will have completed their journey through Trailridge Elementary School. These girls have graced the halls since kindergarten and have fantastic futures ahead. I was so lucky to be their teacher during this pandemic filled year.

An emergency release that was pushed to the forefront ahead of some other unreleased conversations I have had throughout this year. It is an ever constant battle to edit these and push them out. Intro and outro music was changed to some of my original tracks that fit the mood of these conversations better. This is a raw exit conversation with one of my students who is leaving us before the year ends. It is one of the better conversations I have had with a student. Enjoy, and go be awesome people. 

This episode is a conversation with Mrs. Jennifer Kevern who is currently the principal at Trailridge. She is also my current supervisor and acting principal. Jennifer has a calm demeanor and really supports her staff. I was able to get a little time with her before she had to attend a meeting. I really hope you enjoy listening to her story and can take away something from our conversation.

Episode 7 is the final episode for season one of the podcast. I highly recommend listening to it as Dr. Ryan Rostine is one of the most prolific educators I have been blessed to work with. When faced with the impossible, Kristin always comes through for our school. We talk about the reality of trying to parent kids with the help of schools and much, much more. We discuss his most recent award of being named the LSR7 School District Teacher of the Year for 19-20 and much, much, more. I again sit down with one of my former sixth grade students to discuss the year and some highs and lows throughout the elementary years. I am encouraged with the way in which this student was vulnerable and shared thoughts openly. I think our school served this student extremely well and we should feel great as a staff as this child moves to middle school.

I sit down with another one of my students this year to reflect on the year and discuss the future. Very insightful conversation and tough topics to muddle through.
