Support the young athletes. Sure a lot of them want to go the the pros and we as adults know the odds are not in their favor, but don't shoot them down. Mold the student-athlete into something big using the passion and desire they have for a sport. Don't kill the passion, mold it! Listen in on steps to take to help young athletes.

Find out who is responsible for keeping a coach accountable. A lot can be gained through "tough" love from a coach, but equally is the damage from abusive coaching. Tough coaching adds to character and abusive coaching destroys character, listen in on which is which.

Supporting young student-athletes offer encouragement that lifts their spirit which produces better results and growth.

"Actions speak louder then words", always!...This episode will speak on being a hard worker as a student -athlete. Today's youth idealize many pro athletes and mimic their behaviors such as trash talking. While trash-talking may be fun for the youth, it doesn't produce growth. Listen in on my take on how to handle this situation without discouraging young players.
