A few minutes after Sunday… but I say we consider this a success. What do you say?

Tip of the day is allow your food to cook; don’t eat it raw! I ate a couple of the potatoes kind of raw as I edited, wondering if they were raw or not, but I put them back in AND THEY WERE DELICIOUS.

Unos pocos minutos luego del domingo, aunque es domingo en algún lado, ¿no? Como quiera, digo que consideremos esto un éxito. ¿Qué dicen ustedes?

El consejo del día es que permitan que su comida se cocine; ¡no se la coman cruda! Me comí un par de papas que estaban medio crudas mientras editaba; no estaba segura si estaban crudas o no, pero las puse en el horno de nuevo Y QUEDARON DELICIOSAS.

En fin, ¡feliz año nuevo! Que este año los sorprenda {¡por bien y no por mal!}.

One whole tangent loop of an episode… the point being let’s not wait for the perfect sunrise or sunset at the perfect location to enjoy our lives, because those moments are ephemeral and, chances are, not perfect! I want to enjoy every sunrise I get to experience. Today is today. And this [mundane [we’re so used to]] is good. Recorded on the 23rd & 24th of December 2020, very early in the morning.

Les quería compartir esta frase del libro "The Wise Man's Fear" de Patrick Rothfuss con la que me topé hace un par de meses. Este mini episodio está fresco; lo acabo de grabar y editar para compartir. Sé que el micrófono está chocando con mi cabello {*lo siento*}, lo traté de editar lo más posible, pero espero que puedan disfrutarlo de todas formas. Un abrazo a todos. Espero que sean y reciban ese amor en cada área de sus vidas. 

Atento a relajo, hace más de un mes de que grabé este episodio. ¡Y tanto ha cambiado de cómo me siento! Re-escuchando solo pensaba: “Get out of your head! It will be fine!” Qué lindo ver cómo podemos procesar y cambiar de pensar tan rápido {sobre todo con cosas que creíamos que estaban tan tan arraigadas}. Needless to say, me fui en una con distintos story-times, pero el propósito era dejar claro que voy a dejar que Conversaciones fluya como es desde el principio: natural, real, honesto, sin extras extremos. While prolonging {to avoid writing “procrastinating”… but we’re all friends here, we know} the final edit of the Spanish version of “An Aside”, I ran into this thought I recorded on October 3rd, 2020. This quote from "The Wise Man's Fear”, by Patrick Rothfuss, resonated with me, and I wanted to share it with you. I hope it resonates with you as well, and that it not only inspires you to love others that way {which I hope it does!}, but that you will also recognize that this is a love you deserve. From any kind of relationship. Some of us need to learn earning isn’t always the way. 11:43pm.

I left some of the clanking & barking & yelling going on outside {things that happen only when you’re recording… am I right, ladies?}, because it seemed so fitting for today’s episode. Hopefully it doesn’t affect any of you listening on headphones. Today I’m breaking the chronological order of episodes basically to give myself permission to allow this podcast to be what it’s meant to be: as natural as a midnight conversation.

I don’t think I ever even got to the point, which is *great*! The point basically is that this podcast is meant to be natural. I’ve felt it since the start, yet I kept trying to make it more ‘produced’. I keep letting perfectionism get in the way. I guess this is my attempt to tell myself and others: NO LONGER. No for this, at least. I don’t want to lose Conversations because of a daunting perfectionism that’s not even demanded from this project.
