What scriptures are you meditating on today?
In this episode, Terry and Scot discuss two spiritual disciplines that help us hear the voice of God: 1) Meditating on scripture and 2) Doing what the scriptures say to do. Chewing on scripture like a cow chews his cud is key to sensitizing our spirits to hear from the Lord.
Here are three key verses from today’s talk to meditate on:
Joshua 1:8, “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
Psalm 34:1, “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.”
Matthew 7:24-27, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
