In “Turn to God with Carin,” Carin Jayne Casey shares that her own life traveled a harsh and dangerous path until she turned back to God and renewed her faith. Once she had chosen the process of a Christian Walk, she struggled to view herself worthy (worthy only because of Jesus). Accepting God's unconditional love and knowing He has plans for her, brought her toward maintaining healthy self-love and love of others. Our faith is empowered when we hold ourselves in prayer, Biblical reading, sing songs of praise and thankfulness, and surround ourselves with others who love and serve God.
Faith and fear cannot co-exist. During life's happenings, we can continually decide to be faithful, not fearful, and to consider, "What would Jesus do?" Casey shares Ephesians 6:10-20 as guidance to putting on the full armor of God, so that we can stand in times of temptation, hardship, and self-doubts. Rather than be judgmental of those lost in their troubles and/or addictions, we should encourage them to Turn to God as their salvation and refuge.
