BIO: I’m Ethan, and I’m based out of Massillon, OH, an hour
south of Cleveland.
I'm a Truth Initiative Ambassador, a non-profit based out of
Washington D.C that works in communities and nationally to see that tobacco and
electronic cigarette use becomes a thing of the past for future generations.
During my Senior year, when I was my high school student
council president, I worked with other nonprofits such as Sandy Hook Promise in
making videos that would be shown in High School classrooms to combat the
mental health problems we are facing.
Today, I continue to do work in film, media, and government.
It's all part of my self-discovery in who I am, and this walk is no exception
to both helping the world and defining my best self to everyone who hears.

BIO; Dr. Tito Craige is a history teacher at Durham
Technical Community College in North Carolina. In the 1980s he wrote stories on
human rights abuses in the Philippines. He also founded and directed the
Farmworker School, a North Carolina program that combines literacy and
self-advocacy skills. His movie, Voices of a Silent People, won the National
Broadcasting Society grand prize and a story about troubled students won the
prize for the best non-fiction writing in NC.
I like to be active and I like to push myself. Five years
ago, I swam from Spain to Morocco. I've climbed volcanic peaks in Latin America
and trekked in the Himalayas. Being outdoors, having friends, accepting my
foibles, listening for clues, and writing stories keep me going.
I have many mentors. Some, like Dorothy Day, Father Damien,
and my father are gone but they are always present. Mother Teresa, who suffered
loneliness and self-doubt, is there when I feel hopeless.
I am determined not to cave into fear. Listening to my heart
is how I learn to feel sane. I rely on my wife, kids and a few friends for
counsel. Being a perfectionist is a way to be miserable, and I am getting
better at seeing the perfection of imperfection. And I try to let go of my
self-judgments.

BIO: Holding Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and
Human Biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic, Amir A. Rashidian is the founder

challenge of climate change and help people understand and appreciate what is
happening, and what they can do, through the foods we all love and need - we
all eat so can readily relate. I have published climate change articles in the
popular press - The Hill, Medium, Bulletin of the Atomic Scientist, Fortune,
and USA Today and I am the lead author of Our changing menu: Climate Change and
the foods we love and need (Cornell Press 2021). I've done a TEDx Talk –
Climate change: It’s time to raise our voices and I teach Climate Change
leadership, an online eCornell course. My life experiences include growing up
on a one-cow dairy farm, serving in the Marines during the Vietnam War, being a
father and someone’s partner for 51 years, and many years in leadership roles
at Cornell University. I received my academic degrees from the University of Wisconsin,
the University of Arizona, and the University of California, Davis. I now hold
the title of Professor Emeritus and will tell the climate change story, until I
no longer can.

BIO: Greta Uehling’s scholarship is broadly concerned with international migration and forced displacement. Major projects have examined the experiences of refugees, asylum seekers, and the internally displaced. Her current project explores the subjective experience of military conflict and forced displacement in Ukraine. Based on ethnographic fieldwork, she documents how the military conflict reconfigured social worlds and how these social worlds became the site of a different, everyday kind of war.
Prior to teaching in the Program on International and Comparatives Studies, Uehling consulted with a number of international organizations including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and the Watson Institute at Brown University.
Uehling holds a PhD in cultural anthropology from the University of Michigan. In 2004, she completed a post-doctoral fellowship with the Solomon Asch Center for the Study of Ethnopolitical Conflict at the University of Pennsylvania. Her first book is Beyond Memory: The Deportation and Repatriation of the Crimean Tatars. Her forthcoming book is Everyday War: The Conflict over Donbas, Ukraine. She is also the author of numerous scholarly articles and book chapters.

BIO:Jeremiah Alexis Verdecias is a producer/editor/writer/dad/born and bred in Jamaica, Queens NY. A new media content specialist, he's produced web-series and written features for print, broadcast media and brands alike, such as XRM Media, ESPN, Insomniac Events, Twitter, VICE, NME, LA Times, Red Bull, Current TV, LA Weekly, OK Player, VIBE Magazine and Justin Timberlake's website JustinTimberlake.com. In 2017 Jeremiah helped launch Twitters first live talk show “What’s Happening” in his role as head writer and producer. Jeremiah, as a free lance Creative Director, has recently produced branded content for ESPN, LAFC and Fox, as well as edited a documentary on famed chef Charlie Trotter. Jeremiah is a co-founder of the not for profit, The Goodness Tour, which since 2014, has brought music and art based therapies to people around the world, facing major adversity.
BIO: "Poppa John Bug" has played Electric Bass professionally since 1973 when he interviewed with Richie Havens at the Electric Lady Studios in New York City. Richie had just introduced a new Gospel Rock group called Fresh Flavor on The Tonight Show, starring Johnny Carson and wanted to add a rhythm element and there was Bug, in the right place at the right time. While on tour with Flavor, he met the Godfather of British Blues, legendary Alexis Korner. After finishing his time with Flavor, Poppa met many of NY's fine musicians, including Eric Oxendine, Murray Weinstock of Manhattan Transfer, Rob Gerstein who played with Carly Simon and world famous drummer Bernard Purdie of Aretha Franklin fame. John also worked with George Caldwell of CBS London. Hanging out in the Village John was inspired by jamming in many of the village's fine clubs including, The Bitter End, The Dug Out, The Village Gate & The Café Wha. Thirteen years ago John decided to change his direction and go back to his roots, playing music, writing songs and just living again. Poppa teamed up with his New Jersey friends and are known as “The Jam Band” they are currently working in the Studio and Showcase circuit. After three years of recording at Shore Fire Studios with engineer Joseph D’Maio, his new CD “Before & After” reflects his music from ‘Before’ & his music which is ‘Now’ expressed on this CD!! Poppa got his guitar strumming influence from the one and only rhythm master Richie Havens.

BIO: Dr. Laura H. Kahn is a physician, author, and educator. For almost 20 years, she was a research scholar with the Program on Science and Global Security at the Princeton University School of Public and International Affairs. In 2006, she published Confronting Zoonoses, Linking Human and Veterinary Medicine in the CDC journal Emerging Infectious Diseases that helped launch the One Health Initiative (http://www.onehealthinitiative.com) which is a global effort to promote the One Health concept that human, animal, plant, environmental, and ecosystem health are linked. She is the author of two books: Who’s in Charge? Leadership During Epidemics, Bioterror Attacks, and Other Public Health Crises (2nd edition published in 2020 by Praeger Security International) and One Health and the Politics of Antimicrobial Resistance published in 2016 by Johns Hopkins University Press. In June 2020, she launched her Coursera course: Bats, Ducks, and Pandemics: An Introduction to One Health Policy, which has thousands of students enrolled from around the world. In 2014, she received a Presidential Award for Meritorious Service from the American Association of Public Health Physicians, and in 2016, the American Veterinary Epidemiology Society (AVES) awarded her with their highest honor for her work in One Health: the K.F. Meyer-James H. Steele Gold Head Cane Award. In 2023, she published a One Health-themed science fiction novella for students titled, Thorns: When Earth Refugees Are The Aliens. She is currently finishing her next book on One Health and coronaviruses.
