Martial Arts Journey:  Started training in college, but realized I could hurt someone, so I quit. While still in college I got over that and began training seriously in several arts. Continued training under different teachers in different styles until I settled in Taekwondo, where I earned my black belt in 1978. Progressed through the ranks while teaching school, then got FIRED as a basketball coach, so quit as a teacher and administrator. Continued training and worked as an educational consultant for a private company and got FIRED from that job, so decided to become a full-time martial artist. Taught full time and managed a school, then moved up into a management company for hundreds of schools in the US and Canada. I wrote newsletters, designed ads and promotions, wrote and edited a magazine, produced webinars and more to help the school owners run a more successful school and business. Developed a comprehensive after school martial arts program and co-authored several books, and after 30 years, retired with the rank of 9th Dan Grandmaster.

Mark Herschberg is the author of The Career Toolkit, Essential Skills for Success That No One Taught You. From tracking criminals and terrorists on the dark web to creating marketplaces and new authentication systems, Mark has spent his career launching and developing new ventures at startups and Fortune 500s and in academia. He helped to start the Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Program, dubbed MIT’s “career success accelerator,” where he teaches annually. At MIT, he received a B.S. in physics, a B.S. in electrical engineering & computer science, and a M.Eng. in electrical engineering & computer science, focusing on cryptography. BIO: I studied Electrical Engineering (Electronic and Communications Engineering) at the Universidad Veracruz Ana in Boca del Rio, Mexico, with a specialty in Control Systems, Automatic Control, and Instrumentation. During my engineering degree, I had the privilege to perform some research in Mexico, at the Micro and Nano Technology Research Center (MICRONA) in the Bio nanotechnology Laboratory from 2013 to 2014. Furthermore, in the Summer of 2015, I had the opportunity to be part of a Summer Research Program for Undergraduate Students at the University of Southern California (Los Angeles, California) in the Biomedical Engineering Department, performing research in the Biomedical Microsystems Laboratory. After completing my Bachelor in Science, I worked at the only Nuclear Power Plant in Mexico as a Nuclear Technician at the Department of Instrumentation and Control for a few months previously to obtaining a Fulbright Scholarship and applying to Graduate School in the United States. C.J. JULIANUS: is a long-time director and producer of live theater throughout Chicago area & along with his wife, muse, partner-in-crime, Lorrisa Julianus, estab Binary Star Pictures, LLC in 2018. Their 1st effort romantic action comedy, "The Misadventures of Mistress Maneater" C.J. began career in entertainment business while in Navy, discovered by a casting dir while stationed in Miami mid-1980s. JOHN HARPER PHILBIN: This Illinois, native started making films in 1970s with parents' Super-8 camera. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in film fr U of Iowa in 1979, he spent 3 yrs in Chicago, 2 in NYC, and 6 in LA working as a video editor & camera operator. He continued to write & direct indie films on the side, including _The Law of Nature (1986)_ a doc about Yosemite Natl Park rangers that aired nationally on PBS in 1986. Since 1997, he's been an assoc prof of film at Grand Valley State U in Michigan.
