Today, Jasmine Ma is joining us in Episode 14 of Conversations with Cam. Jasmine is currently 25 and was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and later moved to the United States. She graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and currently works as a product manager in the engineering resins industry. She is also International Junior Miss Taiwan, the founder of As I Am - a women's empowerment movement, and a signed commercial print model and actress. In her free time, you can find her at home in Los Angeles, California with her two fluffy cats, Totoro and Haku.
In Episode 14, we cover how Jasmine finds self-love & confidence in the modeling and pageant world – along with how she dealt with comparison in that field. She founded @AsIAm_Org as a way for women to share their joys and struggles while amplifying and affirming their voices – especially of Black, Indigenous, and other women of color. We talk about the rise in Asian Hate Crimes and how to support these marginalized communities. Jasmine, thank you so so much for your story, being vulnerable, and being a guest on Conversations with Cam!
