On Season 2, I bring you a health series!
In this episode, I sit down with Dr Phetola Mokgolo who is doing her community service and is a dentist in a public hospital in the North West province, South Africa. In this conversation, I get to know a bit more about the lovely doctor and her personal story before we dive into the frequently asked oral and dental health questions or rather the questions we ought to be asking. Have a pen and paper ready because she gives us some good tips and definitely helps us understand the importance of oral and dental health better and how it's linked to our general health. Dr Phetols does not end off this episode without giving us her two cents on the realities of Covid-19 on the ground and this serves as the reminder we all need to continue practising the World Health Organisation's recommended safety precautions and to remember we are still in a pandemic. Her golden tip to any everyone is to keep calm when you go see your dentist, which I found hilarious because it felt like she was talking to me directly. Dr Phetols also has a Youtube channel that you should all prescribe to, I meant subscribe LOL.

"IT'S THE FINALE BABY!!"
On the final episode of season one, I have my good friend Yanela Tokota join me. Yanela, is a Wits Law graduate, a broadcaster, a YouTuber and "A star on the rise darling!". We go back in time reflecting on our childhood, our experience, the lessons we took from them and how this has largely impacted who we are now. This conversation is authentic and true as we don't shy away from discussing our relationships with parents, racial issues, traumas and fears that have come with those experiences, but we also discuss the joy, the happy memories and the good lessons we've gained from our childhood. It's an insightful conversation as Yaya poses a lot of the questions back to me and we share a good chuckle as usual.
Once again, I am grateful that you still have me in your space and I hope I have earned the privilege of your time.

In this episode, I have my dear friend and fellow feminist, Sinoxolo Mabuto and we get to discuss one of our favourite topics, Women...everything women. In this two-part episode, we take it back to our impression of womanhood as young girls right up until how we see ourselves as the women we are today. We discuss the dictation over women's bodies and we see how gender studies has influenced her views. We get into colourism and end off with the issues women face in the work environment. I believe these are the conversations we ought to be having. It is raw, it is heartfelt and it is authentic. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did.

I have a conversation a phenomenal African mogul in the making, Horesia Nyawade (The H is silent). Horesia is the co-founder at Vuuqa, a digital specialist firm and marketplace for African brands. Born in Kenya and raised in different countries, she describes herself as a third culture kid and she has a refined ability to feel and connect. We talk about so many things in regards to the creative journey from just starting to knowing we're the ones we need and the mindset of an up and coming creator within an emerging economy. She drops many gems that are truly authentic to the process of becoming. I hope you enjoy it.
DISCLAIMER: The sound from this remote recording is not the greatest due to network connection issues and I could not edit any of that out. I have not added background music as I normally would just to ensure you hear the conversation. I also did not want to not upload it as it would discredit this brilliant conversation. Thank you for your support and understanding.
This week's episode is not your typical audio episode, it's a recording of an IG Live I was gracefully invited to. Earlier this week, my good sis and fellow East African, Horensia Nyawade invited me onto her second episode of her IG Live Sessions. Horensia is a digital strategist and co-founder of a really amazing brand, Vuuqa. The theme of the conversation was "Just Start!" and we touched on a number of things from the start of our budding friendship, fighting the "When Syndrome" and being ready for what you what you what you want to start. In the second part of our conversation, she asks me to give tips on how to just start[anything]. I won't give any of these tips away because i definitely want you to go watch the conversation and feed off the good energy we had. Please head over to her Instagram account @horensia_nyawade and you'll find it under her IGTV.
Thank you so much for still being here. I hope I earned the privilege of your time.
