Indigenous artists attended a recent taa moko and tatau wānanga in Tauranga where stories about the oppression and revival of their customs formed part of the discussions. Tiffany Adams of the Chemehuevi tribe of Southern California and Konkow Nisenan of the Sierra Foothills, provides an insight into her customs.
