Ep. 86 of Conversations with Iris Podcast, has Iris sitting down with Author, John David. John David is a long-time public relations and crisis communications consultant, author of a non-fiction business book, and a corporate ghostwriter. His debut novel, The Bystander (The Lemaster Files Book 1), won the 2025 Page Turner Award for mystery novels, was longlisted for the BPA First Novel Award and was awarded as a finalist for the 2025 Storytrade Book Award for traditional mysteries. It was released by Tule Publishing in September of 2025. Though not a big joiner, he is a member of the International Thriller Writers Debut Author program. When not working or writing, he enjoys fishing, talking about politics, and following the Florida Gators. He and his beautiful wife Pamela live in Pinecrest, Florida.

Ep. 84 of Conversations with Iris podcast has Iris sitting down with Hillay Momberger Powers. Hilary been in recovery since 1983, been a mentor, writer and public speaker in recovery for over forty years. 

In the early 90’s, Hilary worked as the program manager for the first sober living house for women alcoholics in the United States. This program, which later came to be known as Promises, was instrumental in establishing the after care for the recovering alcoholic. 

For over 30 years Hilary has worked with hundreds of women whose lives had been devastated by alcohol and drug addiction and guided them through various stages of their growth. 

As a child Hilar was a well-known actress, voicing the character of Sally in many of the Charlie Brown cartoons, blessed to have worked with Charles Schulz and Bill Mendelson. 

Hilary's passion is for discussing alcoholism, family dynamics, mindset changes, ego, ways of changing ones character, healing trauma wounds, and using scars to thrive not survive. Hilary has provided guidance towards the love within, freedom from emotional bondage, procrastination, toxic relationships, limiting beliefs, and helping people to avoid "sitting in your sh..t”

Hilary will soon  be publishing my memoir, "Good Grief-Hollywood Ate My Childhood", which chronicles her harrowing journey from self-destruction to redemption.
Hilary has also written two Children’s Books, “Zack the Yak” and  “Zack and Tack Are Back”.
