After 15 years of corporate America, the Lord called me into entrepreneurship. I started out with an idea and ended up with two businesses that are geared towards impacting the hearts and minds of people for the glory of God. The pursuit of purpose comes with self-discovery, sometimes the personal burden of the thing we want to change leads us to our God-given passions, and those passions often lead us to purpose when we allow the Lord to guide us. The journey of entrepreneurship is fulfilling although has it's challenges. It provides an opportunity to serve the community and as well as becomes a solution to a problem. Let's talk about it. 

Being a leader can be challenging and overwhelming at times, leading in tragedy and crisis is even more strenuous. God requires us to be genuine in our leading of others, our leadership approach, and our leadership style. Making sure that the REAL YOU shows up every day, ... not who people want you to be, expect you to be, or think that you are. In order to be an effective leader, you simply have to be YOU. Only then can the genuine anointing and grace over your life flow. Lead from the "inside out" and never the "outside-in". Let's talk this out ... 

We are going to do something a little different this episode, this episode is going to be a special tribute. We are going to talk about one of my favorite artists of all time and that is the late rapper Earl Simmons aka DMX who recently passed away on April 9, 2021. This particular episode is to pay honor and respect to DMX, ... I admired him for his determination, his fight, and his diligence to be open about who he was, where he was in life, and the struggles that he experienced. As a believer, a leader and a New Yorker, I wanted to share the discussion from a place of compassion providing another perspective from the heart of leadership. Let's talk ...  

Over the years I have taken the time through studying, prayer, and journaling to determine what my purpose is. It took some time and it took some pursuing certain ventures to determine what I was called to do. Enduring hardship and hard times can alter the course of the direction of your life, traumatic or disappointing experiences impact your perspective and skews your vision. That impact to the heart could naturally cause a deviation from the plan of God for your life. This is normal but it's important to get a hold of where you are and come back into alignment. Purpose reset is exactly what it sounds like - to set AGAIN in place and in motion the very purpose as to WHY you were born. It's to focus and rest into a divine reset to powerfully walk through the rest of the year. Let's journey this together... 

Recalibration for the season is a time to readjust so you can discern and respond to the season that you are in properly. You must successfully transition over to your next level to keep your momentum so that there are no delays regarding your purpose and the things you have been called to do regarding your ministry, business, finances, and your physical bodies. There were so many things that were birthed and crushed out of this pandemic, I would have to say both good and bad. Our world has experienced such drastic changes and the effects have been imploding to say the least.

We are going on a year now where our country has been shut down and it's important to know what God is doing in the midst of these challenges. 

In today's episode we talk about how important it is to know who we are in this season and in this moment in time. Rejection and Purpose are two opposing forces, and to live in purpose is to dismantle the power of rejection off of our lives.
