Linda Sifumba chats to Anele a clinical psychologist and lecture in the department of psychology at the University of Johannesburg. He specialises in critical studies of men and masculinity centred on (Xhosa male initiation). His work extends to queer masculinities within culture. He is a queer (gay) man.
He is also a therapist, a healer who’s work is located on African healing systems / African spirituality and therapy. He heals at multiple levels where he incorporates both western-euro ways of knowing (psych) and African epistemologies. This allows him to operate from a space of indigenous practices and epistemological justice.
