Convincing Idiots

In honor of International Women’s Day (3/8/23) & Women’s History Month we devote our main segment to strong fictional women in pop culture! We each give our personal “Idiot Mt. Rushmores” of strong women fictional pop culture characters!

In our “Ask An Idiot” segment, we discuss the new Chris Rock Netflix special ‘Selective Outrage.’ Chris had some pretty bold statements about Will Smith & “The Slap” experience. Some have questioned if Chris has become the bully with his comments while others say he has every right to speak his mind. We share our thoughts!

In Pop Culture Headlines we remember Gary Rossington on his recent passing, the last original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd; Keanu Reeves takes on new new heights of fame; Hugh Jackman is bulking up again to play ‘Wolverine’; Microsoft kills the weird alter ego of their Bing chat AI browser “Sydney” & A simple body shop TikTok ad with a cat goes viral.

In “Idiot Reviews” we talk ‘This is Where I Leave You’, ‘The Reluctant Traveler’, ‘The Jacket’ + more non-spoiler reviews of stuff we recommend that we’ve seen over the past week!

All this plus more pop culture & nerdy stuff, personal insults & questionable jokes!

Warning as usual some explicit language from us idiots!

From podcast episode 129, in our “Ask An Idiot” segment, do you still to movie theaters on a regular basis? Why do you go? Is it the general experience or are there other reasons like special food, fancy recliners or something else? What do you think of the proposed AMC Theaters strategy of charging more for tickets based on the seat location like a concert?

Also from podcast episode 129, we discuss a new Bing AI based browser where can chat with the browser to find answers versus just reviewing sites pulled up by searches.
