Meghan, the owner, and creator of MAG Event (her initials) is a seasoned event designer and planner who has executed events throughout Colorado and neighboring states, Nashville, San Fran, Anaheim, and Hawaii. Originally from San Diego, California Meghan moved to Colorado in the 90s. She started school at UNC in Greeley but transferred mid-degree to the University of Hawaii on Oahu. Meghan was part of a traveling dance troupe that brought performing arts to schools through the island. During her time at UH she was assigned to stage manage a performing arts production for the college. When word got out that it was truly her niche, she ended up stage managing every production for her remaining years at the school. Meghan also paved the way, being the first to graduate from a post-baccalaureate program established at UH, moving on to teach in Hawaii schools. Her first official wedding was an intimate gathering on a beach, and her passion for events and her career bloomed from there. With years of experience in all things events, Meghan has ran stage productions, designed and planned countless weddings, managed conventions and exhibit halls, executive directed two non-profits, partnered with charitable organizations to fundraise, planned community 5k races, organized ticketed events, and organized festivals.Meghan loves traveling, hiking, paddle boarding and all things live music. During event season she is sipping coffee with clients or at design meetings. In the off season she is enjoying hot yoga, boxing or has her toes in the sand.Favorite Drink: On Duty – diet coke or coffee. Off duty - Whiskey (bourbon) or craft beer.Favorite “Picture Perfect” Detail: A fully set table with all the silverware, glasses, plate, napkin and centerpiece.Favorite Event Moment: When things are full steam ahead, guests are settled in and you can step back and take in everything. Realizing that all the planning and organizing and designing have magically aligned to this epic moment. And then you think to yourself “We do good s***”.Describe Your Style: I love to take traditional ideas, stories, or themes, and twist them into a unique new version. So I would describe my style as “always evolving”. I love to play!
