A blind man went from being an outsider, a "sinner" in ancient biblical terminology, to becoming a member of God's intimate family. Jesus used this miracle to remind his hearers that it isn't always a bad thing to be blind—seeing that God makes blind people see great spiritual truth!

No one could claim the kind of intimacy wih the Father that Jesus did—and get away with it!

Being in the family of God through faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to find forgiveness by God. The order is important!

When Jesus told his listeners, "You will die in your sins," he was saying just the opposite of what he had told the adulterous woman ("Neither do I condemn you"). Why? How does forgiveness work for these people, especially if the cross is still ahead of us in the story of Jesus?

The Apostle Paul saw the need to highlight Jesus' coming down as a necessary precursor to Jesus' going up, or his ascent to glory.

When Jesus said, "If anyone wants to do God's will, he will know of the doctrine," he was offering both an invitation and a warning. Who is Jesus, and why did he come to earth?

Are we fighting for victory, or are we fighting FROM a place of victory....and what's the difference.
