I found Sigurd at the great hall for King Harald's speech after leaving Gorm's cabin. The King united the clans and exiled Gorm after Eivor let the King decide his fate. Tensions rose when Styrbjorn unexpectedly kneeled before Harald, sparking anger in Sigurd and leading to a deep conversation between Eivor and King Harald.
After coming out of Gorm's cabin, I had to look for Sigurd again to see what our next move would be. I was a bit lost about his exact location in the crowded area, so I called my raven again to get an aerial view. It looked like Sigurd was at the great hall.
I called my horse and I started running towards that big building to meet up with my brother. Riding inside this town was really slow, which bored me as I wanted to reach the hall quickly.
I eventually reached the entrance and dismounted, leaving the animal in the snow.
After getting inside the hall, the first thing Sigurd asked Eivor was if Gorm was still alive. Eivor replied it pained him to say that he did, as the truce had protected the coward from a deserved death.
Then they stood together and got ready for the important speech of King Harald that was about to begin.
The King started giving his big speech to the gathered members of many different clans who had come to hear his vision. He wanted everyone united under one king and one rule to end the constant warring between neighbors.
A king and queen of a neighboring kingdom offered their own crown to King Harald as they planned to sail for greener shores the next day. King Harald accepted their offer wisely, expanding his influence without shedding any blood.
Then Gorm opened his mouth and offered his axe and his oath of loyalty to the King in front of everyone. But the King didn't take his words wisely because he knew the dark deeds that Gorm and his father had done in the past.
As Eivor is Kjotve's Slayer and his clan was slandered by Gorm, King Harald asked Eivor what he should do with the man. I got the option to choose his punishment, and I chose that the King should decide for himself.
The King then named Gorm "Worm" and called him exiled from all the lands he now controlled. He asked him to leave the territory by the next full moon or he would be fed to the crows.
After Gorm left the room, there came Styrbjorn, the King and father of Sigurd. He kneeled before King Harald, mentioning he was happy to do it if King Harald brought lasting peace to their people. Sigurd did not like this at all, and his face showed his anger at his father's secret choice.
Styrbjorn mentioned he was securing a lasting peace as their days of fighting were finished for good. But Sigurd was very angry because he didn't know anything about this deal, not a single word had been shared with him.
As Sigurd left the room in a rage, Eivor had a conversation with King Harald. The King asked him if he dreamed of a glorious future, mentioning that a warrior like Eivor would be a great boon to his clan. I chose to say he didn't know his fate, to keep his options open.
Eivor confirmed that the King had nothing to fear from him personally, as his loyalty lied strictly with his brother. He told the King he bore him no ill will, but his heart belonged to the Raven Clan.
The King ended the conversation, mentioning they would eat and drink tonight and awake in a kingdom made new.
