Copyright should only last a few years at most, if such a system was to be in place at all.
Copyright restricts the creation of new art which uses existing art in new ways, that is, derivative art, which is a perfectly valid form of art.
Using existing artistic works is an essential part of culture and the creation of new art, copyright hinders this natural process. Copyright in it's current state is evil and wrong, it should be changed or removed entirely.
