This is the first song my husband Allan Barton and I wrote together. I had a stack on old poems and took one from the bottom of the pile. While Allan was playing the riff to this song I came up with the melody and the lyrics and we have been writing together ever since. ❤️

Miss Liberty is a song that is about loosing your personal freedom. Whether it is outside or at home we are increasingly being watched by “big brother.” Our cell phones can track where we are at any time and our shopping habits are used for marketing strategies. Now with the onslaught of devices like Alexa “big brother” can listen in on our conversations! We need to get back to our lives and not focus so much on what is happening on our cell phones.
