Within the body of Christ, various spiritual gifts are given in order to grow its members together in unity and love. Each member may have a different gift, but each gift is given by the same Spirit, in order that the members may carry out the work and mission of the Church.

The grace that brings salvation, and enables personal sacrifice in following Christ, also produces a humble and spiritual mindset. Therefore, self should not be exalted, and one should recognize that whatever God has given is a gift from Him and not a matter for personal pride. We need to focus on glorifying God and helping others.

Jesus built His Church upon the confession that He is the Christ. As our church grows, we must be knit together with Him, as the Church belongs to Him.

God reminds us that we are redeemed to be His people, and we need not be worried because He will gather us when he calls for us to glorify Him. God will bring an oppressor and will liberate His people! Praise God!!

In the story of Gideon, we see that God wants us to trust him and give him glory for the outcome. Sometimes God will reduce us and our capabilities so that we lean on him rather than our own strength. Walking with God is much easier when we just humble ourselves and look to him to for success. Otherwise God will discipline us with his loving kindness.

Friend. If you are struggling with a situation. Give it to God and see what He does with it. Wait on the Lord and give Him the Glory!

This week is a special week for us, as we celebrate the value of human life. We know from Scripture that we are all made in the image of God. He forms each of us in the womb of our mother, and knows us each by name.

As we continue into this new year, we look forward to what God can do in our congregation, community, and individual lives. God has already done great things, and most especially in salvation through Jesus His son.
