The lads pick their jaws up from the floor in order to discuss whether the boys from Bergamo can ever replicate their European success, and sing a swan song to the club that has captured the hearts of fans around the globe. The crew then discuss whether Neymar's renwed passion, along with Kylian Mbappe playing through an ankle injury, will be enough to deliver Les Parisiens a coveted first UCL title. • 8/9/20: Messi Vanquishes Napoli, Varane Hits the Self-Destruct Button, and Lyon Force Juventus Into Bringing Back the Beard

Caleb, Nathan, and Nick react to an extremely newsworthy weekend of Champions League football, beginning with Messi's magical performance which saw a resurgent Barcelona put a resilient Napoli to the sword. Can this more organized, & G.O.A.T-lead, Barca performance be a sign of things to come in their date against Bayern Munich? The lads also discuss Raphael Varane's no good, very bad day away at the Etihad, and where Real Madrid stand following another collapse in the round of 16. We wrap things up by discussing another disappointing Champions League performance for Juventus, while picking our jaws up from the floor after the announcement that the legendary player (and VERY inexperienced manager) Andrea Pirlo will be replacing the sacked Maurizio Sarri. Will the return of The Beard be enough to course correct the future of The Old Lady?

European football is back, and the Corner Kick Crew is here to break it all down!

  • 8/5/20: Previewing Take Two of the 2019/20 Champions League, the Restarting Round of 16 & Quarter Finals

Caleb, Nathan, and Nick take care of some unfinished business as they preview the upcoming restart of the UEFA Champions League. They discuss just how much has changed in the context of the season since March and how that will impact the participating teams, before breaking down each of the continuing round of 16 ties. Are Manchester City motivated by vengeance? Will Real Madrid be able to cope without Sergio Ramos? Can Napoli take advantage of a Barcelona in turmoil? Will Chelsea be able to pull off a miracle in Munich? Well...probably not, but aside from that last one, there are so many questions that the boys will attempt to answer as we get ready for the comeback of Europe's grandest stage. Also, before we wrap up, we show some love to our latest obsession, the free scoring underdogs from Bergamo in Atalanta, and whether or not they'll have enough firepower to dispatch PSG.

May "La Dea" be with you.

  • Pod Taken Quickly: Arsenal Sink Chelsea to Win the 2020 FA Cup

Nick and Caleb give their immediate impressions of Arsenal's comeback victory over Chelsea at Wembley which saw them clinch their fourteenth FA Cup trophy. The lads break down emerging superstar Christian Pulisic giving the Blues and early lead, and discuss how their abundance of injuries and reoccurring defensive mistakes helped the resilient Gooners get back into the match. The duo also express the urgency in which Arsenal must provide a new high paying contract to their talisman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and how vital winning silverware is for Mikel Arteta's young managerial career. Perhaps most importantly, listen to the hilarious real time reaction of Aubameyang dropping and shattering the oldest trophy in the English game.

  • 7/27/20: Man United Swipe Top 4 Away From The Foxes, Grealish Saves Aston Villa, & We Bid Farewell to Watford and Bournemouth

The lads react to the fallout from the final day of the 2019-20 Premier League Season, starting with Manchester United snatching Champions League football away from a poor post-restart Leicester City. The crew analyze exactly what went so wrong for Brendan Rodgers and The Foxes, before moving on to discuss Chelsea's vital win against a tepid Wolves side at Stamford Bridge. The boys then marvel at Watford's spectacular managerial merry-go-round, which saw Nigel Pearson sacked two games before the end of the season, and debate how The Hornets and The Pozzo family proceed following a resounding relegation. We praise Jack Grealish (and his calves?) for saving his boyhood club Aston Villa, and bid a fond farewell to the ever-overachieving Cherries of Bournemouth, while explaining why we think they might actually be in a decent enough position despite their drop to the Championship. High drama was always inevitable on the final day of the season, and Corner Kick is here to break it all down!

  • 7/19/20: Guardiola Turns to the Dark Side, Leeds Celebrate a Triumphant Return, & Turmoil for Messi Equals a Title For Madrid

The three man booth returns as Caleb, Nathan, and Nick react to Pep Guardiola's slow transition into one of the villains of world football following his midweek tirade following Manchester City's CAS acquittal. The lads also debate whether or not the Spaniards tenure at the Citizens is growing stale following a dreadful performance in the FA Cup semi final against a resurgent Arsenal. The crew celebrate the news that historic Leeds United will be promoted to the Premier League next season, and imagine what "El Loco" Marcelo Bielsa can accomplish in the top flight. The discussion finishes with a look at Lionel Messi's justifiable outburst following Barcelona's latest loss (and why Caleb is even fielding emails about Barca's poor form), and examine how well Zidane and Real Madrid are set up to build upon their latest La Liga crown. It's been a jam packed week in the beautiful game, and Corner Kick is here to break it all down.

The pair also examine the effect this ruling will have on FFP going forward, and debate whether or not this decision has created an insurmountable gap between clubs like City and PSG, and their less wealthy competition.
