Part 2 of a 3-week sermon series challenging us to be open to the work of the Holy Spirit in our own lives.

Are you open to the Spirit? It's exactly what we need.

As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, we will look at the genealogy of Jesus from Matthew. Sounds boring? Maybe, it does, but I assure it will be exciting as you learn things about Jesus and his ancestry that you had never noticed (mostly because we just skip over those verses when we read.) But those verses are in the Bible for a reason and they have a wonderful place in the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. First century readers would have been surprised to see the inclusion of four women in the genealogy - it was a patriarchal society after all! So we will focus on these four women and our sermon series is titled, "What is She Doing Here?"
