For so long we have believed the myth, "There is only one right person for me." We so badly want to find the right one, but how do we know who is right? We so often become consumed with finding the right one, we fail to become the right one.

We have bought into the myth of more. The more money we have, the happier we'll be. The more stuff we have, the more popular we'll be. Let's find joy in giving and serving, let's be always content.

Can we really be anxious for nothing in such a chaotic world? Making the choice to rejoice and understanding that anxiety is needless because Jesus is near can allow us to always live always calm.

We put confidence in our heritage, in our rituals, and in our practices. Our confidence should not be placed in how much good we do, but in our search for Jesus as we remain always confident in what's truly important.

Do you care? Do you truly care about others? We often pin people for where there are, not taking the time to discover where they have come from. We wish God would change others around us, but maybe He wants us to be changed.

When was your last distraction-free encounter with God? As Christians, we want all the benefits of following Christ (the power, the miracles, the healings), but show very little effort getting to know Him. Let's make time this new year to find silence and solitude with God, to be still.

The concept of love hits deep, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son that first Christmas night. This is love.

What would life be like if pray was not available to us? What if on our worst day, in our worst moment there was no access to God? Praying, even when we don't feel like it, makes us strong. Are you making the most of prayer?

Every day we fight against evil powers that want to destroy the abundant life we have in Christ. When it comes to God's armor, truth, righteousness, the Good News, faith, and salvation are more than words, their weapons.

What does God want us to recognize about our relationship with work? Whatever you're doing, whether you're taking out the trash, working 9-5, or chasing crazy kids around the house, your work matters because of who you work for.
