Jesus is tempted after 40 days - and wins!

The Scriptures give us wisdom for protecting our future: Avoid foolish risk and to humble ourselves when we find that we have done so. The second admonition was to be a diligent self-starter and avoid being overcome by poverty through laziness.

Jude 1_1-3

Wisdom is available for the getting—you are commanded to pursue her with all of your desire. You are to shun evildoers and guard your heart in a manner that preserves your honesty and your walk.

Wisdom wants a good life for you with wealth as a subset, not the sum of your substance. Your substance is to include peace, righteousness and long life.
