In His mercy and according to

His lovingkindness, the LORD has summoned us into His presence and expects us to draw near in earnest, intimate, and expectant prayer.

Drawing near to God together

in the local assembly is essential

to the preservation of the church,

to the sanctification of the saints, and to the perseverance of God’s covenant people.

Because we have been given

free access into the presence of God through Christ, let us draw near

to Him in true sincerity and

confident faith and receive from Him the manifold gifts of His grace.

John truthfully testified to the person and works of Jesus; and though his words were inadequate, yet God’s word is sufficient and sufficiently reveals the power of His cross to us.

After Jesus revealed Himself

by providing a great catch of fish

to His disciples and by feeding them,

He graciously restored Peter

to the work of feeding His flock and readied him for his final test.
