This week, Brian continues our series on The Scriptures. We're answering the questions "Why would a person ever read The Bible?" and "What makes The Bible special?"

It is a sacred language for those who struggle to navigate the suffering of life while still believing and trusting in the goodness of God. This week Tim will be guiding us through the Prayers of Lament.

This week Brian teaches on the type of prayer that prepares us for a purposeful future. Learning to consecrate ourselves through prayer is an important part of being led by God into the future.

Brian highlights the importance of the Prayer of Renewal. This is the type of prayer that leads to revival, new life and eternal life. Using the example of Elijah in 1 King 18, we point out how the Prayer of Renewal requires spiritual perspective, faith in God and raw determination.
