And yet the same hope and remedy for the people of Judah is available to us as well. While the book of Song of Solomon is a literal love story between King Solomon and his one true love, the story can also be viewed allegorically. An allegory is a literary tool that communicates a hidden meaning in the story. Song of Solomon can be seen as God’s love story for us. Some people have a hard time believing that God loves them. Some find it difficult to receive God’s unmerited, unconditional love.
