When God told Moses to approach Pharaoh about letting the Israelites go free from their lives as slaves in Egypt, Pharaoh refused. The Bible said he had "a hard heart" and he's a picture of many people who have become stubborn toward God. What will it take to break us? Their endurance of hardships serves as a reminder to us about how to handle the difficulties of life. In the closing chapters of Genesis, Joseph dies at the age of 110, and his father, Jacob, dies at the age of 147.
