It’s not enough that a believer confesses Jesus Christ as Lord-we must allow Him to reign as Lord over every area of our lives. That is what He saved us to be, both Savior and Lord.

God is more willing to answer our prayer than we are to ask Him. Sometimes our own disobedience or spiritual carelessness can be the reason for unanswered prayer. We must prayerfully search our hearts and see if there is any disobedience in us.

God sends tests and trials into the lives of His children to teach us His ways. Not only are we to pray and trust God for His deliverance, but we are to pray that we would learn the lesson that He is graciously trying to teach us.

By the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, the believer is to be dead to the temptations and pull of the world.

1 Peter: Part 20

God brought the Israelites out of slavery and out of Egypt with the ultimate purpose of bringing them into the land of promise. In a similar way, the Lord has brought the believer out of the bondage of slavery for the purpose of bringing us into all of the fullness of Christ. Many Christians come short of the fullness of the life that God has for them.

1 Peter: Part 19

True worshippers of God must worship Him in Spirit and in truth-He seeks for such to worship Him. Worship of Jehovah is not based on man’s whims but on the will of God and as He prescribes and desires. We learn the correct way to worship our Lord by the indwelling Holy Spirit and by the word of God.
