Cornerstone Church of Fergus Falls, MN - Sermon Podcasts

From Haggai 1:12-15. When the LORD speaks, he expects his people to listen. In a refreshing passage, the people actually did listen to the message. It stands as a wonderful example for us of how we can rightly follow God today.

From Haggai 1:1-11. While the temple was in ruins, the people lived in nice houses. It's easy for us to think only about our things. Are we giving proper attention to God's things?

From Exodus 19:5-6a; 1 Peter 2:4-6,9; Zephaniah 3:17. In the new covenant, there is no need for a physical temple building, but the idea of a temple has a lot to do with how we should worship. Before we investigate the book of Haggai (an Old Testament book about the temple), we would do well to understand the connection between the temple and our worship.

From Steve Austvold (NCD Missions Mobilizer), on Acts 13:1-3. The church at Antioch provides a wonderful example of how to be involved with missions.

From Jonah 4. In the book of Jonah, God did some wonderful things for the people of Nineveh. But at the end of the book, Jonah still had some issues to work through. In his grace, God helped Jonah with his issues. God wants to help us along, too.

From 1 John 3:18. Hear one of Cornerstone's elders, George Townsend, on how to get real with God, with yourself, and with others.

From Jonah 3. God's grace is so amazing that he wants to show it even to the wicked if they would repent. This is good news for us who so desperately need his grace.

From Jonah 2. From inside the great fish, Jonah prays to God. In it, we see an example of repentance. But even more, we learn about the God who loves to give grace.

From Jonah 1. In this chapter, we see Jonah trying to flee from the LORD. More importantly, we learn some wonderful things about the LORD who pursues us.

The book of Jonah is about far more than a whale. In fact, this little book tells us a lot about how God interacts with us and the world.
