From Malachi 3:8-10, Luke 18:18-25, and Luke 21:1-4. In this sermon, we see a timeless principle on giving, a negative example, and a positive example of giving.
From 2 Cor. 9:6-15 and 1 Chron. 29:1-20. If we see God rightly for who he is, giving can be something we do with joy and it can result in glory to God.
From 1 John 5:13-21. There are certain things that God wants us to know about faith and our relationship with him. In this conclusion to the book of 1 John, we'll see how God wants us to know how to thrive in our walk with him.
From 1 John 5:1-13. Can we know that we have a relationship with God? Can we know that we have eternal life? This passage in John tells us there are some wonderful things we can know.
From 1 John 4:7-21. God is love. He has revealed his love to us. He wants us to live in that love and express that love to those around us. This is a love we are meant to experience, to know for certain, and to share with others.
From 1 John 3:11-24. We are called to love one another...as Jesus loved. As we receive love from God and express his love to others, we can grow in confidence that we are walking in the light.
From 1 John 2:28-3:10. We can have confidence because of the great love of God for us. One of our responses to this great love of God is that we should flee from sin and pursue righteousness.
From 1 John 2:12-28. We can be reassured that we know God, but we must also remain in him as we face dangers in this world.(For some reason, the audio recorder I use only recorded the first 19 minutes of this sermon. I apologize that we don't have the ending.)
From 1 John 2:3-11. As we walk with God, we are to check how our hearts are doing. This passage offers two such checks for our heart, so that we may see how we're doing in our relationship with God.
